AGILE MINDSET & REMOTE WORKING
Agile Thoughts and Practices for Remote Meeting Management, 10 July 2020
Giorgia Pizzuti

Agile is a philosophy, a way of thinking that was born in the late 90s from the awareness of the definitive transformation of the world from a complicated but predictable system to a complex world composed of open systems characterized by transitory predictability.

Today Agile is first and foremost a mindset, an organizational paradigm that puts people at the centre, in all their complexity and richness. At the heart of this way of looking at human beings and organizations, is shared autonomy, respect, trust, the so-called “safe to fail”, the adaptive response to change rather than pursuing plans and budgets.

The current spread of remote working with its difficulties and challenges especially in the Italian context can only force us to rethink, precisely from an agile point of view, our way of working, of collaborating, of exploiting technology, especially during the countless remote meetings. After introducing this mindset, and explaining how and why it was born and has spread, we will delve into some agile remote meeting management practices.
